Main Activities
|
1. UJRC is implementing the fourth phase of Social History Program, which focuses on Oral History of the Jordanian woman and a special workshop was conducted on oral history.
2. A National Forum was implemented on Corporate Governance in 2005.
UJRC started implementing the project “Strengthening Responsible Corporate Citizenship in the Businesses of the MENA Region”, which is going to be part of the Fifth Mediterranean Development Forum MDF5.
3. Al Urdun Al Jadid Research Center (UJRC) with the cooperation of The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) implemented a project, which aims at building a Network for Civil Society Organizations in the Arab World for Democratic Support (ACSON). It was designed to establish a network of Civil Society Activists and Organizations from the countries of the region. As well as building coalitions and partnerships in order to execute collective projects and to increase their influence and improve their impact on the political reform and developing electoral legislations and parliamentary processes in addition to enhancing the roles of women and youth in the political process, (2005)
4. UJRC implemented a “Regional Seminar on Oral History and Women Studies” on the 16th and 17th of August 2005. 80 academics, Experts and historians participated from Jordan, Palestine, and the United States.
