A compilation of Sources on Israeli Military Law relates to the OPT. This two-volume source book for Palestinian attorneys in Arabic and Hebrew compiles vital information relating to military law. The book is a joint publication of Machsom Watch, Nadi El-Asir (the Palestinian Prisoners Club) and the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI). The book contains the central portions of the three principal levels of the law applicable to the military courts - military orders which have the status of legislation, Israeli criminal legislation and the relevant international conventions. The publication is meant to assist attorneys who represent detainees in the Israeli military courts.
The publication and great deal of work that PCATI put in to this effort reflects the importance to which we associate working with other organizations, both Palestinian and Israeli, in order to attack core issues and to lead to effective activities that will prevent torture and ill treatment.
The publication is printed in Hebrew and Arabic on a side by side basis.
